The verification of benefits and claims specialist position is crucial to the billing process. This position entails verifying benefits for patients and ensuring benefits quoted are accurate and detailed, as well as processing and following up on patient claims

This position starts at 11-13.00 per hour depending on previous experience. Previous experience is not required but helpful.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Review and understand patient insurance benefits
  • Verify patient benefits as requested
  • Providing quality customer service
  • Coordinate with health plans to verify insurance coverage
  • Investigating questions on patient benefit plans
  • Finding plan limitations
  • Co insurance information
  • Accreditation requirements
  • Communicate effectively with facilities and clients regarding time-sensitive information
  • Thorough follow up and troubleshooting regarding patient claims
  • Identify and resolve issues regarding claim denials
  • Establish relationship and communication with clients
  • Accurate reporting of claim payments
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
  • Work independently as well as part of a team
  • Effective communication and organizational skills
  • Strong attention to details
  • Organized and methodical about managing multiple tasks simultaneously, without losing quality of work or becoming overwhelmed
